By downloading, accessing, or using Live Translate, you agree to these Terms of Use. These Terms apply together with the applicable Apple App Store terms and Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement.
The Service
Live Translate uses ReplayKit to capture audio from a system broadcast that you initiate, then uses Apple-provided speech recognition, translation, and Picture in Picture capabilities to create live captions. Availability depends on your device, operating system, languages, installed models, and Apple system services.
License and Responsible Use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control. You must have the right to process the relevant audio and content. Do not use the app for unlawful recording, copyright or privacy infringement, circumvention of technical protections, or conduct that violates third-party service rules.
Recognition and Translation Accuracy
Speech recognition and machine translation may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect. Do not rely on results as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, safety, or other professional decisions. Verify important information independently.
Free Allowance, Subscriptions, and Purchases
The app may provide the limited free allowance shown in its interface. Subscriptions renew automatically; lifetime access is a one-time purchase. The price, currency, and billing period shown by the App Store at purchase control. Your Apple Account is charged at confirmation. A subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before that end. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings and restore eligible purchases in the app. Apple handles refunds under its policies.
Availability and Changes
We aim to keep the app available but do not promise uninterrupted, error-free operation or compatibility with every type of content. Changes to Apple frameworks, permissions, local models, or operating systems may affect features. We may update, change, or discontinue features for maintenance, security, compliance, or product improvement.
Intellectual Property and Termination
The app, interface, icon, and related materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms transfer no ownership. If you materially violate these Terms, we may terminate your license where permitted by law; completed purchases remain subject to Apple’s purchase and refund rules.
Liability and Consumer Rights
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided as is, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss resulting from recognition or translation output. These Terms do not exclude or limit consumer rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Apple Terms
Obtaining and purchasing the app through the App Store is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. Apple administers App Store payments, subscription management, and refunds.
