Live Translate processes as much as possible on your device and limits data handling to what is necessary for its core features.

Audio and Captions

System audio, transcription results, and translations are processed on your device using Apple’s ReplayKit, Speech, and Translation frameworks. The app does not upload this content to the developer’s servers.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store. The app only reads StoreKit-verified product and entitlement status and does not receive your full payment information.

Local Data

Language choices, caption display preferences, free usage time, and runtime status are stored locally on your device or in the App Group container to restore settings and coordinate the app with its broadcast extension.

When you stop microphone translation, the original text, translations, languages, and dates are saved in local history. Audio is not saved. You can search or delete records, or choose to export them as plain text or PDF.

Tracking and Sharing

The app does not include third-party advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs and does not sell personal information to third parties.

Your Controls

You can stop system broadcasting, revoke Speech Recognition permission, or delete the app to remove its local data at any time.

This product website is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process request information, including your IP address, to deliver and secure the website. We have not added advertising trackers or analytics scripts. This website does not receive your app audio, captions, or microphone history.
